Privacy Policy

What we collect

• The birth plan you create. Your preferences for labor, delivery, and newborn care, along with any names, dates, and notes you add (for example, your name, your partner's name, your provider, and your due date).
• Your email address, so we can send you your birth plan PDF and, if you create an account, so you can sign back in.
• Account details, if you choose to create a free account to save your plans.
• Basic usage analytics, such as which pages were visited and general performance data. This is aggregated and is not used to identify you.

You can use most of the tool without an account. A birth plan you build without signing in is saved in your own browser, not on our servers, until you choose to save it to an account or email it to yourself.

How we use it

• To generate your birth plan and deliver it to you by email.
• To save and load your plans if you create an account.
• To understand how the tool is used so we can improve it.
• To respond to you when you contact us for support.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your birth preferences for advertising.

The services we rely on

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Birth Plan Builder. Each only receives the information it needs to do its job:

• Supabase - stores your account and saved birth plans, and handles sign-in.
• Resend - delivers your birth plan and other emails to your inbox.
• Vercel - hosts the site and provides the aggregated, privacy-friendly analytics described above.
• Gumroad - processes payment if you buy the Birth Decisions Research Guide. Your payment details go directly to Gumroad; we never see or store your card number.

Your choices

• You can use the birth plan tool without creating an account.
• You can ask us to delete your account and saved plans at any time by emailing support@birthplanbuilder.com.
• You can clear a browser-saved plan by clearing your browser storage for this site.

A note on sensitive information

Birth preferences can feel personal. We treat them that way. We keep your information only as long as we need it to provide the tool, we limit who can access it, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the service providers listed above. That said, no online service can promise perfect security, so please only include details you are comfortable storing.

Children

Birth Plan Builder is intended for expecting parents and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Birth Plan Builder after a change means you accept the updated policy.
